Foals frontman Yannis Philippakis says he isn't feeling any pressure ahead of recording his band's second album. Oxford man Yannis says the band can make a better record than their debut album, Antidotes, although he doubts if it will be as critically or commercially successful. Yannis told Orange.co.uk: "Unless creatively you've dried out after your first album, then it should be easier. That's why so many bands do make better second records." He added: "There's a misconception about the second record being difficult and I think that's largely because bands, without being too crass about it, have shot their load." The band have an unusual approach to writing new material. The singer says: "We write guitar loops so we have a mass of material.
